Handbag Grey “Fabric of flames”

Handbag (36 x 40 cm) made with grey Alcadena model (narrow arrow-shaped stripes) of “fabric of flames” (tela de lenguas). Black leather handles (28 cm). Black zip closure with black leather detail. Inner black pocket.

The “fabric of flames” is made using the ikat technique, which is carried out on the thread before weaving. Mallorca is the one place in Spain were this technique takes place and is still present today. The materials of this handbag are one hundred per cent natural, made with vegetable dyes that do not fade. Both the leather and the fabric may have marks or scars that are a sign of their authenticity.
